This particular 1951 Epiphone guitar was one of Derek's favourite instruments,I was once informed...I don't know if he liked it because it was a challenge or a pleasure (probably both)... but I particularly like the sound (rich,woody tones to my poorly trained ears) and I am astounded by the conversations Derek Bailey elicits from it...each in a different key,each with its own 'humour'... By the way,check out the French Rectangle label: it's full of wonderful recordings.
